米国病院経営士会・認定病院経営士、薬剤師（日本）、ノースカロライナ州保険部認定・メディケアカウンセラー 。ワシントン大学・大学院医療経営学部卒業。アメリカの病院でビジネス開発アナリスト、医療機関でボランティアや執筆活動を続けながら全米を縦横。現在はNCに在住し、メディケアのカウンセリングする傍ら、生け花を地元コミュニティに紹介し、文化交流にも積極的に取り組む。

Reia grew up in Japan, the United States, and other countries. Reia lives in New York City and works in real estate development. She has a BA from Brown University and MS from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Urban Studies. Her hobbies and passions include swimming, running, and baking.
山口県出身。ミシガン大学に留学後、広島の自動車会社勤務を経て1995年に渡米。 バージニア州ビエナ在住。趣味は料理と工芸品めぐり。現在ワシントンDC界隈で活動するコーラスグループJapanese Choral Society of Washington代表。DC首都圏の相互扶助団体Japanese Americans’ Care Fund副会長。
An English teacher in rural Kyushu, Ann spends time designing colorful worksheets and games, studying kanji and pouring over student pictures trying to learn a few hundred pupils’ names. Ann plays Dungeons and Dragons on Thursdays with other English teachers in the area, going on quests to save lizard-people friends, communing with unicorns and haggling with gnomic shop-keepers. Ann likes to travel to nearby areas and take walks in new places, trying to entice any stray cats who wander close enough.
在米日本大使館・野村総合研究所USA等で研究職を経て、現在京都大学特定准教授。2006年3月、Ph.D.取得（国際公共政策）。近著に『協働知創造のレジリエンス～隙間をデザイン』（京都大学学術出版、2015）、Resilience-based Public Policy in a Modern Risk Society (Springer, 2019)(Allen Clark との共著)がある。
Born in Yokohama, Japan. Went to an international school in Yokohama, then to university in Tokyo and graduate school in London. Worked at the United Nations since 1991, both at the headquarters in New York and several peacekeeping operations (Cambodia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, East Timor and Sudan).
